What this page shows
These are the cryptocurrencies with the largest percentage price increases over the last 24 hours, ranked by that change alone. The list is recalculated continuously, so it reflects a rolling window rather than a calendar day.
Why the top of this list is usually misleading
Percentage gains are largest where the starting price is smallest. A token worth a fraction of a cent needs very little buying to double, so the extreme end of this list is dominated by micro-cap assets with thin order books. The same thinness that produces a 300% gain produces a 90% fall just as easily, and often on the same day.
Reading it more usefully
Compare the percentage change against market cap and 24-hour volume. A large gain on substantial volume in an established asset reflects genuine demand from many buyers. The same percentage on a token with almost no volume may represent a handful of trades, or a single one. Sorting your attention by volume rather than by percentage is usually the more informative view.
A note on timing
By the time an asset appears here, the move has already happened. This list is a record of what has occurred, not a forecast of what will. Assets that appear on the gainers list frequently also appear on the losers list, often within days.
