What this page shows

Trending measures attention, not performance. The ranking reflects how many people have looked up each coin over roughly the last 24 hours, so a coin can trend because of a major exchange listing, a protocol upgrade, an exploit, or simply a viral post. A coin appearing here has become interesting to a lot of people at once; it says nothing about whether that interest is warranted.

How to read it

Look at the price change alongside the ranking. A coin trending with a large gain is usually being discussed because it has already moved, which means the move you are reading about has largely happened. A coin trending while flat or falling is often being discussed for a different reason — a delisting, a security incident, or a governance dispute — and is worth investigating before assuming the attention is positive.

What it does not tell you

Attention is easy to manufacture. Coordinated posting, paid promotion and automated accounts can all push a low-liquidity token into a trending list, and small tokens need far less activity to get there than established ones. Check the market cap and 24-hour volume in the table: a coin trending on a few hundred thousand dollars of volume is a very different proposition from one trending on hundreds of millions.
